Trini Politics = "These are the Days of Our Lives"

Ahhhh, the Trinidadian political game: fickleness, power-greed, and petty squabbling. There's no place like home, ent? This picture taken by Michael Bruce in yesterday's Express is quite intriguing. The Dog wonders: How do politicians expect us to trust them when they don't even trust each other? Furthermore, how can they call for national unity when they can't keep their little political organisations united? The looks on these dudes' faces say it all. For those of you that don't know: Mr Warner thinks that Mr Panday should step down as leader of the UNC-A, and that there should be elections within the party. Meanwhile Mr Maharaj and Mr Panday are NOT pulling right now: they've had a weird love/hate relationship for a number of years, and we hear they're currently experiencing a lot of the latter. "The Opposition" indeed. Let's see what happens next on "Trini Politics", cuz this s**t is better to watch than my daytime television lineup.
